Sasha and Olga Bylim - Studio Owners

fredastaireweb1Moved to the United States from the Ukraine in January 1996. During their early dance career, they were Ukrainian Amateur Champions in Standard, Latin, and 10-Dance for three years. They turned professional in 1991 and following the birth of their daughter, Olesya in 1993, they won the Ukrainian Professional Standard Championship later that same year, which they continued to win in '94 and '95. During their reign as champions, they represented the Ukraine in European and World Championships. In the rela­tively short time they have been in the United States, they won a U.S. Rising Star title and went on to become finalists in U.S. Championships.

Both Sasha and Olga have Bachelor Degrees in Education. In 1999 they opened their own Fred Astaire Dance Studio overlooking the Hudson River in Tarrytown, Westchester County, New York state. While still in their com­petitive role, they were the Fred Astaire National Professional Standard Champions and currently are members of the Fred Astaire National Dance Council.


Dimitriy and Maryna Saykovskyy - Instructors

 

dmitriysmStarted dancing in their hometown, Poltava, Ukraine in 1988. They competed in the International Style and showed outstanding results in both Ballroom and Latin programs and became either winners or finalists of numerous National and International Dance Championships. 
They are graduates of the Poltava University and have Bachelor Degrees in Education. In 1994 Dimitriy and Maryna founded the Dance Sport Studio teaching hundreds of students every year. Their pupils are showing excellent technical and artistic skills and capturing various titles and awards at Ukrainian and European Contests.

Dimitriy and Maryna are certified to teach in both American and International Styles and with their skillful guidance you will feel very comfortable either making your first steps on the social dance floor or polishing your advanced moves.

Dimitriy was the 2007 Top Teacher of the New York State Fred Astaire franchise - the largest franchise the Fred Astaire Dance Studios of North America...


Eugene Yeremenko and Marisa Yatsenko -
Instructors


Eugene and Marisa have successfully danced at numerous regional, national and international dance sport championships.  As members of a Formation Dance Team, they have represented Ukraine at the European and World Formation Dance Championships.
Eugene has been dancing since he was 6 years old. The Ukrainian National Sports Committee awarded him the title Master of Sports, recognition for excellence in Ballroom Dancing.  Marisa has been dancing since she was 13 and is a very gifted instructor with her own unique and charming style.
In October 2007 they won the Title of the Fred Astaire National Rising Star Champions at the Fred Astaire National Dance Sport Championships.
Eugene and Marisa are loved by our students for their cheerful personalities and professional teaching skills. They help you to develop and enjoy your dancing, whether you are a beginner or an advanced student! 


Hanna Kryvyk - Instructor

 Hanna Kryvyk, born in Poltava, Ukraine, is a very successful dancer, who made the finals of all the major events she participated in. She is the winner of many Regional, National and International competitions, semifinalist of the European Championships in Poland and the Czech Republic. She never stopped working on improving her dance and teaching skills, taking part in various seminars and trainings, including her role as an instructor, dance team captain, and choreographer of the Papillon Dance Group in Turkey. In October of 2008 Hanna became the Fred Astaire National Rising Star American Smooth Champion in Orlando, FL.
She is a focused, persistent and hard-working person. Her attentiveness and caring devotion aid her in being a wonderful dance instructor, helping all students, no matter their level, in becoming more skilled.


Yuriy Herhel - Instructor

img_0214Yuriy is a graduate of Poltava University and received his Bachelor’s in Education. Began his dancing career in the Ukraine at a young age and continued on to participate in many of the championships of the region.
Having placed high in all of the competitions he entered, Yuriy moved on to becoming a professional dance teacher at the Dance Sport Club in Poltava. During his time at the Dance Sport Club, Yuriy founded the “Dance-Glory” Studio,in  which he is still a prominent leader and influence.

Taking time to dance internationally and travel, Yuriy found himself in competitions in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Belgium, Turkey, and South Korea.
