Fred Astaire Tarrytown Dance Instructors Sasha and Olga Bylim - Studio Owners Moved to the United States from the Ukraine in January 1996. During their early dance career, they were Ukrainian Amateur Champions in Standard, Latin, and 10-Dance for three years. They turned professional in 1991 and following the birth of their daughter, Olesya in 1993, they won the Ukrainian Professional Standard Championship later that same year, which they continued to win in '94 and '95. During their reign as champions, they represented the Ukraine in European and World Championships. In the rela­tively short time they have been in the United States, they won a U.S. Rising Star title and went on to become finalists in U.S. Championships. Both Sasha and Olga have Bachelor Degree in Pedagogic. In 1999 they opened their own Fred Astaire Dance Studio overlooking the Hudson River in Tarrytown, Westchester County, New York state. While still in their com­petitive role, they were the Fred Astaire National Professional Standard Champions and currently are the members of the Fred Astaire National Dance Council. Oleg Skrypnyk  & Lena Tolochiy - Instructors Originally from Ukraine, and has been dancing for 18 years. Oleg first started International Style dancing at 11 years old. He has competed in ballroom throughout his youth representing Ukraine. As an Amateur he was the Ukrainian Amateur Champion, and the Winner or the Finalist of many International Championships. Oleg has a Bachelor Degree in Choreography from the International Slavonic University in Kiev, Ukraine. He is certified in both International and American style and will make you feel at ease with your dancing.  Originally from Ukraine Lena has been involved in Ballroom dancing for the last 20 years. She was the Winner of the Ukrainian Youth Super Cup in International Latin and the Ukrainian Amateur Champion. Lena has a Bachelor Degree in Choreography from the International Slavonic University in Kiev, Ukraine. She is currently certified in both International and American style of dancing. Dimitriy Saykovskyy - Instructor Started dancing in his hometown, Poltava, Ukraine in 1988. He was competing in the International Style showing outstanding results in both Ballroom and Latin programs and becoming either winner or finalist of numerous National and International Dance Championships. He is the graduate of the Poltava University and has a  Bachelor Degree in Pedagogic. In 1994 Dimitriy and his wife and dance partner Marina founded the Dance Sport Studio teaching hundreds of students every year. Their pupils are showing excellent technical and artistic skills and capturing various titles and awards at Ukrainian and European Contests. Dimitriy is certified to teach in both American and International Styles and with his skillful guidance you will feel very comfortable either making your first steps on the social dance floor or polishing your advanced moves. Eugene Yeremenko and Marisa Yatsenko - Instructors Eugene and Marisa have successfully danced at numerous regional, national and international dance sport championships.  As members of the Formation Dance Team, they have represented Ukraine at the European and World Formation Dance Championships. Eugene has been dancing since he was 6 years old. The Ukrainian National Sports Committee awarded him the title Master of Sports, recognition for excellence in Ballroom Dancing.  Marisa has been dancing since she was 13 and is a very gifted instructor with her own unique and charming style. Eugene and Marisa are loved by our students, for their cheerful personalities and professional teaching skills.
